Nov 16th Class update

Dear parents and kids,

Hare Krishna.

Hope all of you are doing well today. Yesterday kids were so good in reciting the sloka, some of the kids memorized it already. Some kids got introduced to it, but they are almost there.

We also did meaning of the words in the sloka so the kids can understand what they are learning.

We also talked about how Lord Balaram killed the demon pralambasura and we also came up with some games that Krishna and Balaram would play with the Gopas.

Kids had so much fun in posing as Krishna with the flute. You can ask them how they posed :)

I will miss you all for the next 3 weeks. Hope to meet you all on Dec 14th class

1) I offer my obeisances to Lord Narasimha, who gives joy to Prahlada Maharaja and whose nails are like chisels on the stone like chest of the demon Hiranyakasipu.

2) Lord Nrsimha is here and also there. Wherever I go Lord Nrsimha is there. He is in the heart and is outside as well. I surrender to Lord Nrsimha, the origin of all things and the supreme refuge.

3)O Keshava! O Lord of the universe! O Lord Hari, who have assumed the form of half-man, half-lionl All glories to You! lust as one can easily crush a wasp between one's fingernails, so in the same way the body of the wasp like demon Hiranyakasipu has been ripped apart by the wonderful pointed nails on Your beautiful lotus hands.

Gopala class

Dear devotees and devotee kids,

Since we have a very new facility we are able to take a wonderful class for your kids and having good association with parents.

The kids are so eager to listen to the stories and I can see the curiosity in them.

So far we have covered lots of sweet past times of the Lord Krishna and two bagavad gita slokas

We are doing an attempt on Narashimha arati prayer. The kids are awesome, some of the kids know the song well. Some new kids just picked up so nicely.

We will do more practice of Lord Narasimha arati every week for newer kids.

The stories we covered so far are birth of Krishna, Krishna travelling to Goloka, Killing of wind demon Trinavarta, naming ceremony of Krishna, Krishna eating mud, Damodara Lila (Yashoda tieing Krishna in the mortar), Krishna eating mud, Krishna and Kaliya, Krishna and the cart demon, Lord Jagannath past times.

We also covered some etiquette in the temple like how to offer obeisances and recognizing the dieties. We will talk more about etiquette in the classes.

Coloring:
At this age this is one of the fun activity for my class. Honestly it is not possible for us to do it without the support of the parents who help the kids to color.
Some kids show extreme interest in coloring we are going to create a folder and maintain for all the kids.

I will create a blog for every week sunday class and update the slokas I teach them with the significance, so parents can be in sync with the kids.

With love,
Nama Priya DD (Nirmala Subramani)
