Ramayana fancy dress pictures

Hare Krishna dear parents,

Thank you so much for dressing up kids for the ramayana fancy dress event. I had so much fun looking at the kids in their beautiful costumes. Parents were enthusiastic in dressing the kids and were very creative.

Some kids surprised the parents by talking in the mic.

My camera focus was altered so the person who was incharge of this could not take good pictures. I have put the better ones here. Once I receive the official pictures from the temple I will post it. Meanwhile if anyone has good pictures please comment it in the blog.

Weekly update 03/14/10

Dear parents,

Hare Krishna.

Hopefully the kids enjoyed the class yesterday. Now we need to make them practice in the class so they remember and tell in some order. I think by now they know 10 slokas from Bhagavad Gita. Next week we will teach a bhajan and revise all the slokas.

We will still continue with our Ramayana story till Rama Navami and we will start with Narashinga story.

No home work this week. Will start home work with new sets of Slokas from next week.
If you still want to keep up the routine you can teach them BG 1.1

Weekly update 03/07/10

Dear parents,

Hare Krishna.

Thank you all for coaching the kids at home and reciting the homework sloka.

Next week is the recitation week.
Please bring back all the coins which the kids have collected. If they have collected.

All kids get a gift for attendance
If any kid says 3 sloka or more will get a gift from the treasure box
If any kid attempts to say a sloka from BG will get a gift from another treasure box.

So in a nutshell all kids will get 2 gifts :)

Next week we will continue with Ramayana katha and Narasimha sloka.
No BG sloka instead we will have coloring activities.
