Narashimha dev story III and Bhajan

Dear parents,

Hare Krishna.

Prahlad Mahraj and his father

Last week we talked about how prahlad mahraj was strong in his principle even though his fater tortured him. Even though his father threw him out of the mountain he prayed that his father should realize about Vishnu.

We started with Kayathu (Hiranyakasipu's wife) in Naradhaji's ashram hearing about past times of Krishna and how Prahlad was educated when he was in the womb. He already knew about Krishna when he was born.

When he was 5 years like our Gopalas he went to Gurukul run by Sanda and Amarka. But their teachings did not make any sense to Prahlad. All they taught was how to be a king by killing enemies. Prahlad thought there should not be any enemies he was so compassionate for all of them.He treated everyone equally so all of his friends in the school liked him so much.

Next week we will finish how Narashimha dev saves Prahlad.

Bhajan:
We finished Jaya radha madhava... and we will move on to another small bhajan.

The sunday school will come to an end in a month or so, but we will still continue to have the class to engage the kids.

Thank you
Nama priya & Anu radha

Lord Narashimha story Part 2 and Bhagavad Gita 18.66

Dear parents,

Hare Krishna.

We did Narashimha story starting with Hiranyakasipu doing mediation till Prahalad goes to school.

We will cover more in next section about teachings of Prahlad mahraj.

Bhagavad Gita sloka we recited was 18.66

sarva-dharmān parityajya
mām ekaḿ śaraṇaḿ vraja
ahaḿ tvāḿ sarva-pāpebhyo
mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ

sarva-dharmān — all varieties of religion; parityajya — abandoning; mām — unto Me; ekam — only; śaraṇam — for surrender; vraja — go; aham — I; tvām — you; sarva — all; pāpebhyaḥ — from sinful reactions; mokṣayiṣyāmi — will deliver; mā — do not; śucaḥ — worry.

Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear

Enjoy the spring time.
See you all next week
